West Fairlee Wildlife Management Area

Owned by the State of Vermont and managed by the Department of Fish and Wildlife, this 101 acre Wildlife Management Area (WMA) is completely forested with sugar maple, yellow and white birch, aspen and beech, and a few areas of hemlock. There are no developed trails, but still great for a walk in the woods.  The WMA is open to the public for regulated hunting, walking and wildlife viewing and accessed from Back St. in West Fairlee Village. Parking is a little difficult due to the narrow road frontage; an old woods road leads into the body of the WMA.
